2. 20/20 is the 15th studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released February 10, on Capitol Records (their final studio release with them). The LP was named for being their 20th overall album release. Much of it consists of outtakes from earlier albums. It reached number 3 on UK record charts and number 68 in the US. Brian Wilson was absent during most of the album.

3. This album was the result of a short-lived but much welcomed burst of creativity (and activity) by Brian Wilson in the mid 70s. It sounds nothing like the classic Beach Boys familiar world wide, and yet, it is the most cohesive, unified and, to my ears, "Beach Boys" album since Today and /5(8).

4. This is a fun album for hardcore Brian fanatics. Such a quirky, underrated album. Like Smiley Smile, all of the songs are written by Brian himself. Like Pet Sounds, it's a solo Brian Wilson album featuring the Beach Boys. It doesnt get any better than this. God, please let us go on this way and listen to Love You forever/5(5).

Brian Wilson's retirement from performing to concentrate on studio recording and production reaped immediate dividends with Today!, the first Beach Boys album that is strong almost from start to finish. "Dance, Dance, Dance" and "Do You Wanna Dance" were upbeat hits with Spector-influenced arrangements, but Wilson began to deal with more sophisticated themes .

7. Sep 09,  · Man I love it. While I agree with The Beach Boys Today! in mono being the one to have if you only have one, boy do I ever love the newly created stereo mix! It makes listening to the album a new experience. I really think The Beach Boys were meant to be heard in stereo for all the beautiful choral effect the doubled vocals created.

8. If you like the beach boys, big sound, or fun music in general really, this is a must buy. IMO the best Beach Boys album ever made and without a doubt their best work of the 70s. For some reason i had a preconceived notion that this album was .

9. In The Beach Boys Love You followed in quick succession. It was originally intended to be a Brian solo album but at the 11 th hour, the Boys .
